ABOUT THE EVENT
The counting of the Omer is an observance done the day after the Shabbat of the Passover. Our community begins counting 7 weeks (49 days) after the 1st day of Passover, and on the 50th day we enter into the celebration of Shavuot, which means feast of weeks, or Pentecost, which means 50 counts/days.
