ABOUT THE EVENT
Yom Kippur takes place on the 10th day of Tishrei, following Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year. It signifies the end of the Ten Days of Awe, a time dedicated to reflection and repentance. On this day, Jews aim to atone for their sins and seek reconciliation with God, as it is believed that during Rosh Hashanah, God records each person's destiny for the upcoming year in the Book of Life and finalizes it on Yom Kippur.
The day is observed with solemn prayers, reading from the Word of God, a 25-hour fast, and abstaining from regular work.
